On World Water Day (March 22, 2025), our team once again took action by cleaning up the Graves Bridge location along the Bow River in Calgary, Alberta. This marks the second consecutive year of our cleanup initiative, reinforcing our dedication to protecting water resources and making a real impact in our local environment.
Water pollution is a growing global crisis, with millions of tons of plastic and debris entering our waterways yearly. As leaders in innovative wastewater treatment solutions, we recognize that access to clean water is essential for communities, ecosystems, and industries. Our annual cleanup initiative is a hands-on way to put our values into action, ensuring that we contribute to the health of our water systems beyond just technology.
“Water is life, and as a company that specializes in making wastewater cleaner and more usable, we believe in leading by example,” said Peter Christou, President/CTO at Swirltex. “This initiative is not just about picking up trash, it’s about creating awareness and inspiring change. Every piece of litter removed is a step toward a more sustainable future.“
At Swirltex, we believe that real change starts with action. Our evolutionary wastewater treatment technology helps industries optimize water use, and our community-driven initiatives, like this cleanup, show our deep commitment to environmental sustainability.
We encourage businesses, individuals, and organizations to join us in protecting our planet’s most valuable resource. Small actions create big impacts, and together, we can work towards achieving net-zero wasted water.
